2. Platform Description
MMAREKANI is a B2B (business-to-business) marketplace that connects suppliers and buyers across Africa. The platform provides tools for product listings, supplier discovery, media sharing, and business communication.
3. User Accounts
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. • You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a business agreement. • One person or business entity may not create multiple accounts. • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Supplier Responsibilities
If you register as a supplier on MMAREKANI, you agree to: • Provide accurate business information and valid product listings. • Only sell products that are legal in the jurisdictions where you operate. • Respond to buyer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. • Fulfill orders and commitments made through the platform. • Not misrepresent the quality, price, or availability of your products.
5. Buyer Responsibilities
If you use MMAREKANI as a buyer, you agree to: • Use the platform only for legitimate business procurement purposes. • Communicate professionally with suppliers. • Not place fraudulent inquiries or orders. • Conduct due diligence before completing any business transaction.
6. Prohibited Content & Misuse
The following are strictly prohibited on MMAREKANI: • Illegal products or services including counterfeit goods, drugs, weapons. • Spam, misleading information, or fraudulent listings. • Harassment, hate speech, or abusive behavior toward other users. • Unauthorized collection of user data or scraping the platform. • Uploading malware, viruses, or harmful code. • Impersonating another person, business, or entity. • Any activity that disrupts platform operations.
7. Content Ownership & License
• You retain ownership of the content you upload (images, videos, text). • By uploading content, you grant MMAREKANI a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute your content within the platform. • MMAREKANI may remove any content that violates these terms without notice.
8. Account Suspension & Deletion
MMAREKANI reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete accounts that: • Violate these Terms & Conditions. • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior. • Receive multiple verified complaints from other users. • Remain inactive for an extended period. Users who believe their account was suspended in error may contact support@mmarekani.com.
9. Platform Availability & Limitations
• MMAREKANI does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free platform availability. • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. • We are not liable for any losses resulting from platform downtime or technical issues. • MMAREKANI acts as a marketplace facilitator and is not a party to transactions between suppliers and buyers.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MMAREKANI shall not be liable for: • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities. • Damages arising from third-party actions or user conduct.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through negotiation or, where necessary, appropriate legal proceedings.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.
